If I’m not mistaken, today’s strip was drawn by Gil Kane, with the writing chores done by Archie Goodwin, two familiar names from Marvel Comics.
I deeply hope that Tarzan doesn’t kill this lion and allows him to take out these s-bag “hunters”/poachers!
almost identical to recent The Phantom comic (this one presumably preceded it) – since I despise sport hunters and poachers I’m all for both strips.

This might be the wounded lion that the Phantom killed and cut the heart out of—or didn’t, since it disappeared overnight….
