The warnings were there. Ignored and dismantled as being from that other fellow. I can’t even watch those briefings anymore. Not for the bad news but for the buffoon’s self praising assessment of his greatness, lack of empathy, his don’t help them who don’t kiss your ass attitude. People are dying and he doesn’t care. He said it’s going to go away like a miracle and he’ll take credit. Meanwhile Kushner with no medical training has taken over the research side since he did such a great job solving the Israel situation. Trumpy is already looking at making a buck over all this suffering. And it’s the other guy’s fault there wasn’t enough stuff available.

He did one of these after 9/11 as well. Pretty compelling.

Where is Planet Express?

This is a take on a New Yorker cover from a few years back. Take away all the nasty little covid 19’s and add a little more detail (not much) …. you get the idea. There is Manhattan, and then, vaguely, the rest of the globe.

Canadians are thinking about the Gander, Newfoundland story today, and the whole story of the 911 air traffic grounding (the one that inspired the musical ‘Come From Away’). And how now America wants to block mask shipments to Canada, a week after a proposed militarization the border. Somehow, the line about how a crisis let’s you know who your friends are comes to mind.
