My mental archives have developed dry rot. And serious distortion. It’s very strange to find paperwork for something I remember doing years ago … and discover that my memory is not just wrong, but completely wrong.
Frazz17 hrs · This actually did come from the Frazz archives, although that’s not where it originated. I stole it from Mary Barra, who seems OK with the appropriation; the original art is hanging in her office. But I didn’t have to go to the archives or to General Motors headquarters for it; I keep the line fresh in my head full time. It’s a good one to live by. Especially if you feel like you’ve been living an awfully long time getting to a few too many things on the late side.

I thought Mrs. Olsen said she was having a rough spring. Memory doesn’t make that go away. How would it help to start a journal?
Maybe Frazz should ask what’s been happening that’s rough. Like a normal human being.

“The worst time to have a son is 18 years before a war.” Linda Ellerbee
Of course, now you’d have to update that to “a child”; probably the worst example of progress and equality there is……………………
