When did MLB relief pitchers get ferried in on a golf cart? Since I really started watching baseball in the 90’s they always ran in from the bullpen, usually out in right or left field or at least from deep along the first or third base lines (depending on if it was the home or visiting team).
Alas, not only is our Charlie a bad pitcher, he’s a bad manager, too. SEND IN LUCY! SEND IN LUCY! SEND IN LUCY! Her scowl alone would take out most batters. She’d psyche ’em out.
Charlie Brown is the one who is tired—probably from having to put all his clothes back on after every line drive. He ought to be the one to get to ride off to the locker room in the grocery cart.

A relief pitcher? In Peanuts? We only ever hear of Charlie Brown not pitching when he’s not at the game.

I’ve been to a few ball games and never seen that happen. Maybe this is an old practice that they stopped doing.

Here in Boston, the shopping carts lock if they’re removed from supermarket parking lots.

In the 40 years I’ve been reading Peanuts I never knew Linus was a relief pitcher.

Now the question is: how well can Linus pitch?

Why couldn’t Linus walk out on his own?

Thanks for the reminder to check my grocery list, Charlie Brown!

I don’t think they use golf carts in baseball anymore.

The 140+ pitches from Wednesday’s 35-walk streak finally caught up to you, eh, Charlie Brown?

I remember the White Sox bringing out relief pitchers in golf carts back in Comiskey Park. When I was younger…

In recent years, I’ve only seem one pitcher use the cart to get from the bullpen to the mound. Can’t remember who it was.
