Okay, I know it’s shocking but I have to admit that I’ve NEVER heard of Morton’s Toe. Once again I’ve learned something vital from reading Bad Machinery.
I knew a guy who avoided being drafted, in the Vietnam War era, due to a defect in his little finger. Due to a long-ago injury, he couldn’t straighten the pinky finger of his right hand. He consulted a lawyer who found a regulation that said a man who couldn’t make a proper salute was unfit for military service. So the draft board had to exempt him.

Awwww… Grampa Joe is Cecile’s hero now. How sweet ♡♡♡! Even Mildred seems to have a new and better opinion of him now.

Lots of people have this. If they rejected every recruit with a long second toe, they’d have a serious shortage of candidates.

There is also a condition called Morton’s neuroma, which is not a nice condition to have.
But it sure didn’t keep me out of the US Army.
