Birds probably find the idea of mammalian lactation and nursing to be pretty gross too.

perhaps you shouldnā€™t watch nature programs before dinner, Calvin

(unlike Calvinā€™s appetite, thank you all hoping that that Iā€™ve come back)

I can see the point of having the TV jump up and down to depict a mindless fast-paced cartoon or action-filled drama, but it seems out of place for a nature documentary.

It finally occurred to me to see if ā€œgurgitateā€ is a recognized word. Turns out it isnā€™t, but ā€œingurgitateā€ is. Also ā€œgurgitationā€, although that has a meaning unrelated to regurgitate and ingurgitate.

Yes, I realize that nobody asked, and almost nobody else cares.

It may sound gross, but itā€™s better than where that hot dog really came from.

Thatā€™s a pretty big plateful for a six year old. None of my kids at that age would eat a third of that.

With that glop the Mom usually serves for dinner, Iā€™d question it as well! Iā€™m also reminded of when we were on vacation at Washington D.C., and at the Natural History Museum at the Smithsonian Institution, there was some video playing about animals being toxic to predators or something, and it showed a blue jay eating a monarch butterfly and then vomiting from the toxic fluids. My dad was pretty grossed out by that, but I knew it was coming since I read about how those butterflies are toxic to birds.

And, just like that, it all made sense. Kevin knew he was right all along. His reluctance about food was justified.
