@Number Three Today strip is slightly funny our HERO Mr Andrew Capp is under the impression that he is God’s gift to women , he tried to show off to the lass that he can speak in multiple languages but then his pal Chalkie dashed his ploy by telling her Andy is no Linguist :o) my avatar is of a lady lawyer advertising her prowess as a lawyer , since a man can never win an argument with a woman , I have never managed to , how was your day , our Sunday should be busy but calm I hope , but claustrophobic being unable to visit or go for a drive :o{ stay safe and BCNU pal.
My avatar today is the same photo I had on before but I blurred out the original background, added a new one and now I’m standing in Strawberry Fields Forever….. without the strawberries.
Please take care of yourself, pal. At least you still have GoComics and all your friends here.
I’m wondering if the current “creative” team on Andy is so fond of the characters spending so much time in single file (not that today’s is out of order, I must admit!) because they foresaw the future and the need for social distancing…..

I find it amusing that she hangs out at a bar and moans about being approached by losers.

I’m sure Flo can give you quite the speech in good old English once she gets wind of what you’re doing there at the bar, Andy.

Well, beer is kind of universal language. It may be spelled different, but it still comes out ‘beer’.
Linguist over 4 years ago
The first words and phrases that a person should learn in any language are:
1) Please (and) Thank You
2) How much?
3) Where is the Men’s/Women’s Bathroom?
4) I’ll have a beer!

Another useful sentence for him to learn in different languages could be “Can you lend me some money”?

She has no reason to be put off by Chalkie’s statement, she should be pleased by it!

At least Andy is polite to strangers, at home he would probably yell “Woman, I thirst” at Flo.

I wouldn’t consider being able to say a single sentence in a foreign language as being able to “speak” it.
