Riding the bus home back in my uni days, it was always funny watching peoples reactions as we went past the dairy farms when the farmers had been spreading muck. It’s not a smell that bothers me oddly enough
I never minded the smell all that much. Of course, I grew up in a town where they processed soy beans — there’s a smell for ya. And just as an aside, would a bull even notice?

I grew up near a paper mill. I’ll take a barnyard over THAT any day!

I live in a rural area west of Ottawa and last Monday was manure spreading day for the local farmers.

Odd that animals would object to their own “smell”
