Ah yes, the fun of sitting outside the dressing room holding one’s wife’s purse. I remember being at a dress shop with my wife. We had been married about ten years at the time. Also sitting outside the dressing room were two teenage boys. Apparently they went with their girlfriends who were looking for formal dresses. The boys were sitting there – with their girlfriends purses – they did not seem thrilled to be there. As I was leaving with my wife I looked at them and set – “Get used to it, guys.”
Folks, when you realize that the right wingnut trolls post only to get a reaction from you then you will have won the battle. Since they are irrelevant you should treat them as such. Dismiss and ignore them and, although it will not be like a miracle, they will move on to other feeding grounds.
Part of the problem with shopping on line is not consistency by the manufacturers in sizes. Pants that claim to have the same waist size as an example do not fit the same from maker to maker. That is the advantage of being able to try things on and make the decision on the spot.
I always hated going to shop with my wife. Sitting on the chair by the changing room. But it was nice when she came out of the dressing room to model something new for me. I do miss that.

I’m surprised Janis doesn’t miss Arlo’s influence too. How does she decide what not to buy?

Poor Arlo! By this stage of the game he knows that he never had and never will have any influence. It is just wishful thinking now.

On such outings, I have long ago realized that while my opinion on fashion will nominally be solicited, what I say about it won’t make any difference.

Rather talk about sexual habits of Arlo & Janis, than the bickering over politics. Make Arlo & Janis Fun Again.
