I once tried to be really smooth, and told a woman I could never remember her first name. It was the same as mine. And before you ask, Dani is a nickname.
Haha! This works better when your first language isn’t the one being spoken, and people are more accepting of a seemingly simple name.
We can all relate. Done there, been that. And that’s the point of Huda’s strip.
Or say, ‘Do you prefer that over Robert? Or is Bob your actual given name?’ with a pleasant and interested expression.
