in my case when working at the grocery store, it is the mask along with the eyeglasses and the corded earpiece to a walkie-talkie (I use the last one to communicate with other employees in my hired position; cashiers call me on a different kind of phone)
This is NO joke, I am an old guy with hearing aids and each time I have to take off my mask, I have to stand still in a lighted place and half the time the hearing aids get caught in the stupid straps.I am so careful, one of my friends lost one of his hearing aids like that. They are expensive!
Always took my hearing aids out whenever I had to go into an isolation room. Learned that the hard way after I had to root through a waste basket full of used masks, gowns and dirty diapers. Just told the families I was hard of hearing and to speak up. Always had to take the ear bud out so I could listen to breath/heart/bowel sounds with a stethoscope anyway.
While some argue that wearing masks might not stop the spread or that they are uncomfortable I pose two questions: 1). Why not assume that it couldn’t hurt and indeed might help? and 2). Are you really that self-centered and/or egotistical that you don’t consider that aside from even possibly helping you that they might help prevent others from the spread. Numbers in most states relaxing standards early are going up. If you’re not keeping a safe distance, washing your hands often and correctly, and wearing a mask (and wearing one consistently and correctly) I might politely suggested that you perform a basic human biological act upon yourself (hint: the word begins with an “f”). I’ve no patience with Flu Klux Klan jerks. I know quite a few people who now have longterm health problems after catching COVID-19 and I know too many people who would die if they caught it (cancer patients, heart patients, immunosuppressed patients, etc). There are enough self-centered jerks around. Don’t add to their numbers. Your haircut can wait. You can wear a mask and stand apart at many jobs. If I can do it, so can you. Please put on yer grownup pants.
Only glasses, but yeah. My wife has a bone anchored hearing aid, so even when she isn’t wearing the hearing aid, the post is still waiting to snag the mask occasionally.
I leave my hearing aids home when I go to work. I can wear a bandanna for walking down the halls at my condo (which doesn’t interfere with the hearing aids), but a more effective mask is necessary at work. Not only do the loops on the mask flip off the hearing aids when being put on or taken off, but it is hard for the mask to stay on with both glasses and hearing aids.
We’re giving our hearing aid patients a crocheted strap with a button on each end. Hook the mask loops on the buttons and wear the strap behind your neck. Keeps things from getting tangled. You can also use a strip of cloth or a headband with buttons. I’ve even seen buttons attached to glasses frames with rubber bands.
Happened to me all the time until I learned that pulling the mask off from the top front of the mask loops and back made my glasses and hearing aids stay in place.I think that Jan C. Also has a similar maneuver.

Yep, but it is a small inconvenience for the protection you get.

Try taking them off from the top first and pull down toward the bottom. That has helped me and saved my hearing aids.

Amen to that, brother. It happens regularly to me, as well.
