If it is a commodity that means it is something bought and not freely given. Mother’s love is supposed to be unconditionally given otherwise it is not love. If Betty is in the business of selling her love to the highest bidder I do feel sorry for others around her.
Every time Junior makes a totally disrespectful comment to his mother ( most days) makes me wonder what kind of life the guys who wrote this had – did they treat their moms this way and get away with it so think it’s funny – even for a comic, I don’t get it, this strip is more like a soap opera than a comic strip
