I think he was able to make the hit because his brain was thinking about the comment by Nate, so he wasn’t thinking about the ball, so his body just acted. (Watch it get caught though)

As someone who had a few years of baseball as a kid, trust me, these things never turn out this way in reality. If I were Francis in this situation, I’d strike out. Reality.

this one reminds me of when nate hit a home run and everyone thought chad could predict the future… but I don’t know what will happen next

What if, thanks to this strip, Francis no longer depends on Analytics. Or anything like that. But sooner or later it turns into a problem. That’s my guess. I’m writing this on August 15th, and haven’t seen the next two.
