Meh. It’s a long term thing…..over 20, 30, 40 years. Pick good mutual funds, that have been around for at least 20 years, that have an average annual growth rate that matches the S&P (about 10.8% year over year annual returns) and there’s little to worry about.

Even after ’08 within a few years the funds were right back where they were, and then just kept growing from there.

Investing is not rocket science. Just don’t watch the news…….they’re really only good for exacerbating the panic.

Uh, he has to look down to see the top of the screen. Unless this is one of those weird FT moments where the laws of physics don’t apply.

When I was a kid it meant the vertical hold on the old Zenith black and white console was out again.
