Now is when I wish I could post a pic. I snapped a pic of one of those “Happy Retirement” sting together letters banner thingy that spells out “CONGRTULATIONS”
Saw a news item. A man faked his death to avoid going to prison. Had a friend deliver his death certificate from another state. All would have been well except a word was misspelled which alerted authorities it was fake. So the timing of this comic is perfect!
I think the joke is presented a little too subtle and not easy to understand. The “Space Potato” as Brewster calls him, feels he is not a valued member of the crew. He is trying to show he is a serious, worthwhile person. Agent X completely misses this, and trivializes the poor guy, by pointing out an unimportant mistake. I have binge read all of Brewster twice, and I love it. Tim Rickard is a Comic Genius and an exceptional Artist. I wanted to go back and reread the series on the Cat People, but can’t remember when it ran. I don’t want to reread the whole Brewster collection yet. (Maybe in a year or so, after my elderly brain forgets some of it! ) So, I am hoping someone can tell me when the Cat People ran. I just signed up for my free 30 day trial of GoComics, and I am sure I will continue with it. I prefer it to ComicsKingdom) I used to not read Comments, but I do now, and the humor, answers, and insight in them really add to the experience.

We all need good jokes. We won’t always have Dick Nixon to kick around.

Jokes are good for morale, even if it is at your expense.

“Resignation”? It’s supposed to be a letter of recognition.
