There’s a picture of my father and mother some few years after their marriage (before my older brother’s and my own births) where Dad dons a mustache. Sure Dad has had glasses since he was in late elementary school or early middle school, but the aforementioned picture has him not in his glasses. My point? It makes me think he looks like Tom Selleck.
As I recall in my family, Grandpa was clean shaven, and Grandma was the one with the Mustache. With a grandma and 8 aunts there was always plenty of Nair in the house, that’s all I’m sayin’.
No mustaches in my family. However my dad had to shave every day or he’d have a mustache and beard in a week. My grandpa could go a week without worrying.
For us ladies our shaving was at all different ages. I got lucky and mine didn’t have to be done till I was in my teen years….helped by it being blonde and a very very light blonde to boot. Not anymore a light blonde/brown color.
I don’t know how long Pickles has been around (and, thumbs up for many more) but, considering his age, Charlie Brown should definitely have a mustache.
I’ve had a mustache since college – only shaving it off twice – once when I went into the Army in the 1960s and once when I lost a bet for charity the 1990s.
My mother_hated_ my handlebar ‘tash and was always after me to shave it off … But when I sent her a picture of myself, sans facial hair, in 1996, saying this was her son she hadn’t seen for over 30 years … she told me to “Grow it back!”
My ex always had a cheesy mustache that smelled like pizza that he’d started growing when we first met. He shaved it off when we were in our 30’s and for the life of me I couldn’t remember if he had always had such a short upper lip.

Gramma has some attributes you definitely don’t want, Nelson.

Lots of firemen and cops have mustaches. But I don’t think that’s what Earl did. Anybody know Earl’s profession? Just curious.

Ouch! Move over, Roscoe! Nelson just got Earl thrown into the dog house!

Umm. aren’t we missing a generation here.. Nelson’s parents possibly had something to do with it. Do/did we ever see Nelson’s dad??

If you do not really understand something then a Grandpa has an explanation that makes perfect sense, even if it is not right.
