That’s how dogs sweat, Garfield. Leave him alone.

Well, with the exception that Garfield lands on his stomach for cushioning.

I think dogs only land on their heads is when you kick them off the tabletop and/or countertop.

No, my dear Garfield – Dogs usually land straight in to our hearts.

So we used to have a Scottish Terrier named MacGregor, and whenever we gave him a bath, he once free from the “evil bath” would proceed to race up and down the hallway and around the house in his bid to dry off, well one time he accidentally hit a damp patch and went sliding face-first into our recliner from loss of traction it was hilarious and “poor baby” kind of thing.

Cats can be just as stupid as dogs sometimes, like Bucky for example.

If toast always lands butter-side down, and cats always land on their feet, what happens if you strap toast on the back of a cat and drop it?

Odie can sure put out a lot of slobber. Maybe they slip on their slobber and land on their heads

So, that would probably work better, if they could stand on their heads.

That would explain a lot of things, although yesterday, while I was in the pool, my dog tried to ‘save me’ by jumping on my head.
