I feel Hobbes is about to be taken, in a retaliatory kidnapping.

So why would Calvin think a 6 year old girl has $100? I don’t think we’ve seen Calvin with more than $4.

And he never caught on that he signed the letter, basically telling Susie who took it.

Maybe Suzie will snatch Hobbs and if I know Hobbs he won’t mind one little bit because he likes huggies and smoochies from Suzie.

I love the last panel showing Hobbs the way the rest of the world sees him.

Will this end with Susie holding Hobbes captive? Trading prisoners at high noon?

Watterson has always said he based Suzie upon his wife

Calvin’s new super hero persona is Larcenous Lad.

Having read all the C&H strips many times over the years, I love all the speculation about what’s going to happen next. Nobody can say Watterson didn’t get his readers engaged!

Susie reminds me of Curt Jurgens character in “The Enemy Below”. To paraphrase “Now Calvin; just turn the right way and I’ll give you a pretty present”.
