Classic.
I like the hot off the press gag in the top panel.
A number of the old cartoons had additional gags hidden.
Wow, there are at least six little hidden jokes in the top one. Good catch from Tog and whahoppened. I did not know they did that in the old Working Daze. Sort of like Bizarro.
Channeling our inner Notary Sojac, are we guys?
Very good, by the way!
If the guys are having trouble coming up with gags now, what are they going to do once we don’t have the virus to gag on anymore?
The kind of things you used to see in Mad Magazine in the background.
Was “Lou Lund” perhaps influenced by Jimmy Hatlo, or are there other exemplars I’m unaware of?
Love, love, love the “vintage” ones. You capture the retro style perfectly!
I don’t know how you guys do it day after day. Kudos.
I remember my grandfather reading this one to me when it first came out.
I like the second one best but the first one is good
I found a collection of.“Working Daze” from the 40s and 50s in the library a few years ago. I forgot how good they were compared to today. /s
I love these “old” WD strips!
I was expecting little Iodine to show up.
Is the gal with the bob hairdo Susan? Or CJ?
Wow – didn’t know this comic had been around that long…
Dana’s gag reminds me of an actually true story of my calling a company once and asking for Mr. X: “I’m sorry, Mister X is on vacation, can you hold?”
