I’m going with “really smart.”
As long as a dog has a child who wants to play with it, the dog will be happy.
Who is well fed?
With RJ on this one. Really smart when a dog uses it’s nose to track something . Really dumb when a dog rolls in crap.
I’d go with loyal.
“Abba Xanthios said, ’A dog is better than I am, for he has love and he does not judge.” — Sayings of the Desert Fathers.
I’ll go with ‘it depends’. One of our mutts is running with about half of a walnut’s worth of brain.
There’s a fine line!
That doesn’t explain cats. Cats are like slot machines that payoff randomly, which makes them even more addictive.
And speaking of cats, does anyone remember the episode of Garfield when his feet no longer reached the floor? This dog is reminiscent of that episode.
It is a rare (and possibly disturbed human) that can resist unconditional love from a dog for an extended period of time.
One of my German Shepherds would drop a tennis ball behind me, then circle me until I figured out that I was supposed to find the ball and throw it. He decided how we would play the game.
That can certainly be said about humans.
I’ll take the ‘dumb’ position; after all why choose a sycophant dog rather than a cat, who doesn’t give a shite what you think?Really.
