Got stuck with a co-worker with halitosis in a small 8′×24′ construction trailer for a year. Some days he would chew gum, apparently in an effort to deal with it (have to give him credit for trying). Kind of like putting sugar on liver, sweeter but still gross. Some days it was so bad I’d take a clipboard and go walk around the project until he left, then go back in and work until very late to get the job done.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders — the most famous of which is, “Never get involved in a land war in Asia” — but only slightly less well-known is this: “Never go against Poncho when dogbreath is on the line”!

Not only the winner, but Poncho should be retired as once and permanent champion.

The innocent bystanders are collateral damage.

I appears that Poncho will soon be declared a menace by the Geneva Convention.
