Veneer Mutual Funds. Sounds like a Bernie Madoff project

So veneer and yet so facade.

Looks a bit thicker than a Veneer! It might have been worth it! (Smirk!)

Yup just about right – where you come out more confused than going in.

This is why I hire professionals to manage a significant fraction of my retirement funds. (And, they do appear to be doing a fine job even now).

A sidewalk on both sides of a facade? Shouldn’t that be an alley?

Odd background. It looks like he’s coming and going at the same time. Shouldn’t the FRONT of the fake building be facing the same direction as the real ones?

But then Bob would have had to depend on people who claim to specialize in studying and evaluating investment firms. But before that he’d have to find out which specialists are reliable, which means he would have to depend on the reviewers, which means . . . Well, you know what that means.

Why is there an awning inside this “office”?

The Stock Market is an illusion of wealth built on smoke and mirrors.

Either the door’s on wrong or the fake inside has awnings.

I live in a city famous for furniture building and selling. “Veneer” would have been a major tipoff.

My nephew got a fantastic job with a startup company doing programming. It was such a great deal, it didn’t bother him that they asked him to defer salary until the end of the month. At the end of the month, he showed up for work but work didn’t…the office was empty except for a mouse pad.

Look, out, kid, they keep it all hid.

Party like it’s 1999.
