Waste not want not. And given what they paid her, if she wasnât going to âwantâ, she needed to sneak all the scraps she could get her hands on. And some âpre-scrapsâ as well â items that hadnât had a chance to become scraps (since they hadnât been served yet)
Mary took a swig of the Masterâs wine. It was Wednesday. That meant that Mistress was out at her bridge game. And that meant that Master would strip to his underclothes and try to cop a feel again. She needed more wine.
At last, he had come, the lover of whom she had dreamed. This would go well. After all, she was all in cloverâshe had âlove potion number 9â on her side, and she would make him drink as well!
Elsa never did learn how to balance a flute on her nose, but as long as there was bubbly in the bottom of the glass she practiced with the passion of a zealot.
Had a set of 4 Tiffany glasses like that. (Received them as a gift.) I finally donated them them to a group called Cats Unlimited. They would sell the items to help raise money to sterilize feral cats. A few months later My girlfriend comes home carrying my glasses and says, âLook at these cool glasses I bought from Cats Unlimited.â (Those glasses are a bit** to clean, by the way.)
Ok, I have to tell one more. I was a room service waiter at the Hyatt House back in the 70âs. I was on the morning shift. At the end of our shift we had to go around the hallways and clean up the dishes etc left outside the rooms. Often, there were entire bottles of booze, champagne and wine left by guests. Many a time my coworkers and I came back to the kitchen with a serious buzz on.
It seems that the sprightly young maid/ from the straight and narrow hath strayed./ The dregs of each flute/ that she pours " down the chute"/ will end up getting her laid.
