I can just hardly imagine Rosalyn baby-sitting Calvin everyday if Calvin’s parents both worked.

And she’s still regretting it .

Well it’s possible but that would mean more time with Rosalyn.

Today’s women are expected to work as if they didn’t have kids, and raise their kids as if they didn’t work outside the home. At the same time.

He catches on fast.

But they are extremely well compensated for telling all to Mr. Watterson.

Pretty sure, Calvin was blacklisted by every nursery school nearby, before she had a break when he went to kindergarten.

I hope Mom was a prison guard. She needs the fortitude. She could use the attitude as well, but it seems like she is doing okay.

And yet she doesn’t get paid for this. Calvin’s allowance should go to Mom instead.

A Calvin epiphany at such a young age. Welcome to the real world, kid.

well after listening (reading) all you men’s thoughts on why a mother should leave the house, PAY someone else to raise YOUR (as in mom and dad) children, pay upkeep on 2 cars, gas for 2 cars, auto insurance of 2 cars, extra set of clothes that is suitable for out of the home working parents and then the wife being paid 1/2 what her male counter part is being paid, paying 2/3 of that income to the government for the privilege out side of the home. If it is decided that the woman should also pay for her own health insurance with what is left. There might, maybe some money left to buy pizza once a month. If she has to have help with house work there goes your pizza. Just saying. I stayed home, raised my kids, did a few odd jobs outside the home but honestly just could not compete when all the extras was added in. We decided we would just live on 1 steady income and enjoy ourselves.

My wife put her career on hold (I had the better income at the time) to raise the kids then went back later and was blessed to become quite successful.

Women are real life superheroes. Men fantasize about being superheroes.

I wonder what job she had. Maybe it didn’t pay as well as his.

Dad needs to be more supportive of what his wife does at home. Like every other father ought to be doing.
