It’s a grim decision.

the wait can seem like an eternity…

Not at all, do the best job possible so the blade will pass effortlessly.

So Mr. Death, are you here on business, or is this a social call?

I first thought this was going to be a skating-related strip today. LOL.

Death is sharp as a tack, lately….Hope he’s not here for meeeeee

“Saw it done with a dull blade once… took all day!”

Forget the blade, put your nose the the grindstone.

Time to get to work.. chop, chop.

It’s inevitable. A sharp blade means less pain.

So do rioters and anarchists loot and burn the stores they bought their rioting and looting supplies from? Asking for a friend.

It is a dilemna when you might be the next customer of your current customer.

Grim Reaper gags never fail to slay me.

if you don’t someone else will! (isn’t that the logic for a lot of things done/sold today?)

No worries, Bob – you’ve got the scythe now…

It merely serves a metaphorical purpose today….so sharpness only increases the chance of an accident on the job. And higher insurance rates as a result.

Blade sharpening – my first thought was ice skates. Playing hockey isn’t his goal.

But he’s not in retail (selling things), he performs a service.

He needs to scythe up the customer.

The purpose of the scythe was to cut the thread between the body and the soul, so the soul was free to move into the afterlife. That was a release from pain and suffering, and thus death’s scythe was to your benefit.

He used to grind the keys, then they told him he was getting a promotion.

“There’s a Mr. Death here. Something about the reaping?”

Tell him to come back because the guy who normally sharpens the blades will be in on Monday.

And, being the impatient sort, Mr. Death heaves a heavy scythe.
