take the kid away from her now. too many people out there on too many drugs (half that aren’t needed) Kids just have pent up energy cause they can’t go out and run off the energy because of the evil in the world!
I had a son who was diagnosed with ADHD. After six months my husband insisted we take him off ritalin. I tried a strict diet of home cooked, non processed food and it worked to some degree. But he’s always had an oppositional personality, for which no drugs were prescribed. Now, as an adult, he’s been diagnosed with anxiety issues and is on a drug.
My son was diagnosed with ADHD when he was about 10yo. We decided to put him on medication (as much as I was against it) during the school year. It really did help to calm him down - but he hated taking it. By the second year, I asked him if he wanted to continue taking the medication - he said NO! So I kept him off anything that contained RED 40 (I just knew it was making him MORE hyper than normal) and continued to remind him about the calming effect the medication had on him. He learned how to control his behavior for the most part. Some kids really do need the medication and some do not. I do also think it’s associated with not having the ability to go outside and run around until you’re exhausted….
I guess I may have been diagnosed as being “ADHD” since it was hard for me to sit still as I was growing up. But, I learned to sit still when my dad let me know it was in my best interest to do so. As far as the forgetfullness was concerned, I was taught to carry a notepad and pen with me.

Just wondering……what did kids have before ADHD was “discovered”?
