I don’t know why there is so much sentiment associated with leaves falling. I don’t get anxious when my cat sheds a whisker. They grow back, like leaves.
I think Fall is a beautiful time of year. I just hope all the smoke and ash is gone by the time the leaves drop here in Washington State. Oh darn, they’re falling anyway…
Today was the day husband decided that we had to pick up the leaves. We only have one small tree, but our neighbors gardeners’ blow their leaves onto our property. I have stood there and watched one of them and when husband came out and I told him, he asked them not to – and they insisted they had done so – even though I had been standing them. We first found this out while wondering why we always had more leaves then the neighbors when husband stepped in the dog poo that had come with the leaves. This year we put a screen with magnets in a fabric tube along the bottom to keep them out of our RV/Chevy van air intake for the passenger compartment as we had to replace the motor twice in 2 years and plus we spent over US$100 this year alone to have same cleared out.
So today we went out with rake and snow shovel. He rakes them into piles and I shovel them into the bag into the garbage can. 5 bags from our small property.

Trust me, it’s not going to work.

This has never worked for Ted Forth, I doubt it’ll work for Ben.

Too late for us with the heat and the drought the trees are shedding like white cats on a black dress. I have run out of tape and staples.

I’d be more concerned about Ben standing on that straight ladder without a hand on something sturdy.

See if that’ll also work on the rising tides, Ben.

Even here in SE lower Michigan, I saw a tree that was in full swing of dropping it’s leaves at least a week before Labor Day.

Kinda glad I don’t live in an area where the leaves fall when it comes to raking.

Lol, a scene from “A Bug’s Life” just popped into my head. It didn’t work for them, either.
