If you can’t do the time…

So I’ve been getting that wrong this whole time? Darn.

This is why I never go for the “park all day for five dollars” deal.

It is neither maximum nor minimum. It is the required duration.

Remember the days of metered parking when occasionally you would find free minutes on the meter?

In my local park there are all these road signs of a P with a circle and a line across it.

Useless! Hey, we all know not to pee in the park!

But officer, nobody follows those dang signs anyway!

So-o-o-o the traffic nanny has been standing there all that time? Good job.

Back in the 70’s when I found a parking space in the city of Richmond, VA, I was always suspicious. The parking signs were very long and confusing; I often thought it on purpose. I would read the sign several times, and still interpret them incorrectly and get a ticket.

And you have to drive 30 miles in one hour.

It doesn’t matter that he’s parked on the wrong side of the street?

“I see the sign, but I can’t read it from behind, officer.”

It’s only a matter of time before my municipality does this to increase revenue.

Picky picky! Look who needs to make some coffee money…

Apparently the officer is a little short on his quota.

In San Francisco, I once contested a ticket because the restrictive sign I had supposedly violated was for the space behind where I was parked. I had photographs to support my case and the ticket was dismissed, but what a hassle.

I prefer sidewalk parking.
