âEver since the old world began, A woman found out if she shook it, she could shake up a man, so Iâm gonna shake and shimmy just as good (fast?) as I can, âcause YOU CANâT STOP THE BEAT.â Warning: ear worm, ear worm. . .also been humming Ricky Skaggsâ old tune this week, âHoney, wonâtcha open that door. . .â
This was my mother! She had a lot of nervous energy, and, even into her 80âs, she could barely sit still for any length of time. When she did sit, her leg was always moving.
There used to be a woman in our congregation â young, very active woman â you was a leg-crosser-foot-twister, and would always sit right in view of my side vision wherever I was and twist that foot nonstop. It was SO irritating that I had to find ways to block her out of my vision or move.

It could also mean you have restless leg syndrome. Sitting still can be very challenging.

Iâve met a couple women who just SMILED when they told me Why they were jiggling their legs.
It made perfect sense once I knew Why. But, it only works for Women.
