What bugs me is the “an heroic…” What is he learning in that fancy school of his? “An History of America?” Does he take an health class? Now I imagine him with a Dick Van Dyke Cockney accent.
My wife had been after me to get another dog since ours passed. I held off as long as I good so I made a compromise. I get to name the dog. We have a soon-to-be one year old 9 pound puppy. She’s a Maltese, Bjion, pekinese mix. Her name is Big Shirley. My wife hates it but calls her that.

like Petey’s eating habits, Alice is a picky art critic

In addition to being generous with his time and attentive to his sister, Petey has created some very fine work—and he wasn’t even there at the time.

Petey is actually quite talented. That diorama is pretty good.

Yes, but as a grownup, can he make a living at this; is there a diorama market; will he be able to feed his family? (crashing organ music)

She should have submitted her change orders before close of business Friday.

Picky, picky, picky… Just can’t please some people. She’d probably complain if she were hanged with a new rope and buried in a gold coffin…

Petey exercises Artist’s Prerogative. Alice needs to be satisfied with High Art, which is beyond her ken.
Actually, I think Petey may have been influenced, at least a little, by Loris Slothup’s hairstyle in his Alice of the diorama….

Oh, I miss him so much. This is adorable and that would have been a great diorama to see in real life.

How was Richard Thompson so talented and funny, yet so affectionate and kind? A rare soul.
