After finishing the painting, the artist made an appointment with his ophthalmologist.

The painting was intentionally a little out of focus to hide the fact that the house was i need of some serious repairs.

Honey, why don’t you ask one of the disadvantaged minority cleaning staff if they can play with you. Or if they are too busy, then maybe the disadvantaged minority cook can provide you with a tasty snack until I have time for you.

This painting reminds me of the “cottage” in the Ang Lee film of Sense and Sensibility. They had to shoot very carefully because the house they used is actually very large. “Barton Cottage” indeed.
