OK. So we now know the lighthouse is about to transform, either from the toothbrush hive mind or from the actions of our intrepid crew.

Can anyone reveal any details from the shadows in panel 4?

I think it’s lights out for the lighthouse!

“It’s not like the tower is going anywhere.”You HAD to say, it didn’t you? YOU JUST HAD TO SAY IT! Don’t you understand multiversal constants like “Irony”? Have you never studied the teachings of Professor Murphy on his unifying theories of bad luck?

It’s 956 AD all over again!

It’s coming down…..destroying the building will destroy the gates. I think it’s being shook from side to side one light to three….just a guess.

The toothbrushes looking for a way in have swarmed to the top, where we earlier saw an open stairway.

This is one of those “and their arrows shall darken the sun” moments. But absorbing that much light is gonna heat up those toothbrushes. Picture the hive mind saying, “I’m melting!”

At least they have yet to encounter any animated electric toothbrushes.

When did sci-fi become obsessed with “murk vision”?

I wonder if the toothbrushes are going to form another inter reality map on the outside of the lighthouse and transport it somewhere.

Sometimes I think the comments here with attempts at explanations are the funniest part of the strip.

I read the last panel and face palm.

I’m beginning to think that the “toothbrushes” have deliberately covered all of the interdimensional map in an attempt to keep others from accessing them. That would explain why there were no attacks on Wally’s party until they started to climb the light house. Could there be an increase of the walls of reality being weakened with each crossing from one reality to the next?

I tried to adjust the brightness and contrast on this one and it looks about the same.
