Time and again we have tried to define what it is to be human/sentient, from a featherless biped to the use of tools, and time and again we have been made to look foolish by animals. What if it is simply the ability to imagine a talking jar of peanuts as president?

Sentience is the capacity to feel, perceive, or experience subjectively. It does not something is intelligent. Americans are just getting stupid. Look up Dunning–Kruger effect . That describes the vast majority of americans today. Mainly due to the dumbing down of the american education system.

Don’t get too caught up in your american superiority. A listing of IQ’s by country’s has the US at number 28 with an average IQ of 97.. The top 6 are Asian countries.Chart hereRankingCountryAverage IQ1Singapore107.12China105.83Hong Kong105.74South Korea104.64Taiwan104.66Japan104.27Finland100.98Canada100.48Netherlands100.410Liechtenstein100.311Switzerland100.212Mongolia10013Macao99.914Estonia99.415Belgium99.316Australia99.217UK99.118Austria9919Czech Republic98.919New Zealand98.921Germany98.822Sweden98.622Iceland98.624France98.124Hungary98.1

Looks like american IQ’s have already dropped. which explains a lot. Like the us president.
