I don’t know about the rest of Europe, but we saw those poles all over Austria several years ago.
I want my Maypole!
I organized and participated in many Maypole dance (truly!) and have never had quite that problem. We’ve had some other hilarious mishaps over the years, though.
“…and that’s how May Day became a tradition.”
But it is not May. It is October. Do the skeleton dance instead.
