Where’s that bald eagle that destroyed a drone when you need him? https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/bald-eagle-in-michigan-takes-down-and-destroys-a-government-drone/ar-BB180kVM
Technology is only one of many factors that is taking the fun out of Halloween. I’m getting the impression that the holiday is dying.
The worst thing to happen is when the U.S. Congress extended that idiotic Daylight Savings Time into the first week of November. Canada then followed suit. There were rumors that the big candy manufacturers were pushing for this, thinking it would increase the sales of Halloween treats. What they failed to realize is that trick-or-treating is supposed to take place after dark. That’s part of the fun and mystique of the holiday. When the clocks are messed up the kids lose an hour of the activity, especially when Halloween falls on a weeknight and there’s school the next day.
Another development is the increase in popularity of these so-called “Tailgate Trick or Treat” or “Trunk or Treat” events. This is where cars are lined up in a mall parking lot and kids go up and down the rows collecting candy. Usually in broad daylight, too. This has got to be one of the lamest concepts ever. Kids are missing out on a lot of fun when they attend these sanitized events.
Last year there were a total of five trick-or-treaters on my street. Fewer houses are decorated for the holiday these days. So sad.
I love my children so much and Halloween was always my favorite holiday. I had goals to make them all costumes…. Now my piggy banks I had filled with quarters for my grandchildren have been ROBBED. What is it with people violating kids’ piggy banks? Instead of candy and getting children addicted to sugar, two quarters from each house would be the best idea for making America CHILDREN great again, as my motherly opinion. I love all of you SO much. XX

No, clem; you get pot luck just like everyone else. If you keep pestering me, you get nothing at this house.

Jimbo should have bought a couple bags of raisin boxes, and put them at the top of the bag.
