Yup, I don’t think we ever grow out of build and crush. I mean who grows a field of corn or wheat, or even cows and pigs without knowing that the are going to cut it down when the time come.
58 and on my trip to the thrift store yesterday I bought a science fiction book, another book about the last days of the planet Krypton, and 2 toy tanks
Always keep your inner child alive. A few years ago, my brother told me he spent $12 on an early 60s Superman comic, because it had a story he remembered as being “really cool.” Then he read it, he said, and wondered how he could have ever been into that stuff. I felt sorry for him.
I bought audiobook versions of as many of my childhood favorites as I could find, and now frequently let myself be read to sleep by one or another of them.

I thought it was all men never get past the age of 12 inside themselves. And inside every woman lives their 18-year-old self.

Some time ago, I rented a Winnie the Pooh & Tigger Too video. The gal asked me how old my child was. I said, 34. The video was for me.

“Lego Masters! I loved the episode where the goal was to build something that would come apart the most spectacularly when dropped.
