    Invented for removing the dead from within the castle courtyard without opening the gate. Later, some began using it for rubbish and garbage disposal. The greatest use of the trebuchet was later discovered to be for dispersing manure and compost onto the fields as fertilizer.

    Just for fun I looked up the difference between a catapult and a trebuchet. Found the trebuchet has a counterweight to propel the payload. The simplest example I could think of was when in Young Frankenstein, the monster was playing on the see-saw with the young girl.

    As a ride the positive was no complaints after the ride. The negative was no repeat customers.
