Omg. Is Spud his actual given name? I always thought it was a nickname or something… there was no hope for him since the beginging.

So … does this mean his tendre for Amelia is cooling?

She sure pays an awfully lot of attention to him.

You actually make book covers in the first place? (Never did that in any of my classes)

I put covers on my school books all the way through college.

Yes, I was (am) a real geek.

Almost forgot about those – seems like you could buy silly book covers back when I was a child – made the textbooks a little more tolerable!

I think the real question now would be, “What’s a book cover?”…..

We made our book covers out of grocery bags, same color as what Spud has there. Yes, kids, back in the bad old days grocery bags were made out of dead trees and we re-used them in various ways.

No question about it: Amelia is sweet on Spud!

Umm I hate to tell you Spud, Amelia can’t draw 3d Boogers. That’s the real thing. She just named it.

Oh my gosh I remember those days. A perfect paper cover was a satisfying thing.

That seagull gets everywhere! It’s even in school (top right, panels 1 and 2)!

Amelia loves (annoy) Spud.
