I’ve been single for 18 years. I do and go where I want. Eat and drink what I want. Buy what I want and need, with in reason. Listen to the music I want to in the car. No arguing over the children, money, how clean the house is, etc. Ahhhh, single bliss.

She would be, and then prattle on about how attractive she was. However, it would make no difference to the guy, and he would invite her back to his place.

Feel like I should post this on a few of the dating apps I have been on! All the women I ever see on those apps live nothing but the high life. They always have their pictures on boats or on the beach in Mexico or the Caribbean. Either that or they are in some exotic locale at a swank club or restaurant. It’s almost as if they are all millionaires or something. Oh, and they all list Traveling the world as their favorite past time. I stopped going on those apps cause none of the women on them even seem real. They are all far too materialistic for me. None of the women I have ever dated in real life or know in real life are anywhere close to the women I saw on those apps!

So, what happened?

I did the blind date scene through agencies before computers. If a guy told me he had an 8000 sq ft house, he would have automatically been deleted from my second date possibles, unless he also told me that he used it to house his foster kids.

OK, listen, it isn’t just that women aren’t as impressed with money as we used to be — now that we’re allowed to make our own, or at least 80% as much as we’d make if we were men. It’s that, if you think your money “says everything” about you, then you’re probably shallow and dense. Not a good candidate for life partnership.
