My parents kindof went crazy buying encyclopedia sets and books when I was a baby. By the time I was old enough to use them, they did not have articles about things I was interested in like Saturn 5 rockets, Bathyscaphes, Transistors… They did have a lot about nuclear fission and I read that.

Who still uses Encyclopedias. You can find anything you want to know And maybe things you don’t want to know on line.

If it’s an “anyone can edit” encyclopedia, no thanks.

Cue all the younger than 18-year-olds asking the obvious question, “What’s an encyclopedia?”

I still use my cookbook encyclopedias that I got in the 60s. Recipes on line tend to call for too many weird spices. Tried and true is what I like.

Our city is spending $62 MILLION on a “bare bones” library that no one uses. And who do you think will pay for it? Tax payers of course.

I prefer the one with blank pages that you get to fill in yourself.

Seeing that I’m not a ventriloquist, I don’t have any use for that.

Can you still buy a physical set of encyclopedias?

I got rid of my encyclopedias and cancelled all my magazines. Don’t need them, wife knows everything.
