Minor [and unappreciated] correction. After much historical research in Virginia, the issue of the first Thanksgiving was resolved for Virginians [but few others :) ]. President JF Kennedy signed a proclamation recognizing that the first Thanksgiving took place at what is now Berkeley Plantation on the banks of the James River in Virginia. The year was 1619.

Reenactments were well attended by all VA pols and citizens every years since 1963 until CV-19 forced cancellation of the 2020 festival.
Naturally, the dates of the first celebrations are not as important as what has happened since. History anyone?
My thought on irrelevant imperfections and the pedants who persist in pointing them out publicly: “Anyone who notices that has something else they ought to be doing.”

The first thanksgiving, whenever or wherever it was, pales in comparison to the massive outpouring of joyous gratitude offered up on 2020 Nov. 7.

I remember at some time during the 1980’s wearing shirts inside out was a fad. Good thing it did not last long.

Just because you notice interesting things, doesn’t mean you notice every thing.

She reminds me of a wonderful PBS TV series, Connections, in 1978.
