Perhaps a Chrismtas tree on the ceiling above a sofa is a bad idea. Try a corner of the house.

But Opal, the Christmas decorations are up. so what’s the problem?

Our fence fell down in one of last year’s storms. I put it back into the grooves but it felt loose. So I wrapped gorilla tape around the fence end and the post. A year later the fence has stayed in place through further storms. I think the tree will be ok.

Earl tis time to move the Couch ! Soon it will be raining Pine Needles ;-)

The way the star is if it falls she will certainly get the “point”!

I know people who say it feels like Christmas but many who say it does not. If Christmas was to be cancelled I would simply yawn and say why not as just about everything else has been this year.

Having the tree on the ceiling does give new meaning to having the Christmas decorations up.

For whatever reason beyond my understanding, the builders of our subdivision put an “atrium” in almost every house. It was open to the heavens, thus becoming a blast furnace in summer, a soggy mess when it rained, and a cold sink in winter. Many have been converted over the years and when we got our new roof we closed it off. That is where we put our Christmas tree. With the glass door closed, we can see the tree, but pets and children cannot get to it.

Fir trees look soft and fluffy, until you hit one skiing at 20 mph.

Long ago, in Catalonia it was common to hang pine trees upside down inside the churches.

They will especially feel it with the star pointed down that way.

We solved the cat in the tree issue years ago. every time the cat tired to climb the tree, we would spray them with bitter apple. Now every time that tree comes out, the cats give it a wide berth.

Pets come to live with US! …….adjust the bottom ornaments so if they play with them it won’t harm them. Spray the cat everytime he jumps in the tree…..if it’s still standing….LOL

Living alone in a back corner of the town, there just is not much point. I put some lights out. Thinking about putting my little tree on a table in a window where you can see it from outside. It’s the old kind with fiber optic “lights.” I always liked how it twinkled.

I actually saw a reality show where a home decorator put her tree upside down from the ceiling.

She spruced up the place.

Sudden thought—why is this strip called “Pickles”? Why not “Lettuce”? “Tomatoes”? “Brocolli”? “Cauliflour”?

Way too much effort, planning-executing-maintenance, in this retiree’s book.

The decorations ARE up.

I never get used to a tree like that, yes only in a comic strip.

And if this tree falls will they be trapped waiting for an other tree to fall?

Very few people are feeling it this year. Nearly 300k deaths from Covid and counting. This is not a year to celebrate Xmas.

hmmm For some reason I’m thinking of the Poseidon Adventure. It didn’t end well there either.
