Are hermits required to wear third century clothing under the code?

Hermits are allowed to talk to outsiders. How else can the insights they gain be passed on to others.

By the way, in Medieval times in Europe, it was the fashion for nobles to have a little grotto tucked away to store away a hermit. It was a way to garner brownie points for heaven.

Don’t you hate it when the COA (cave owners association) President shows up to enforce code?

Easy come, easy go. I like getting rid of an intruder so logically. Hermit Monty is also secretly Hermit Spock….
