Not too unusual. My brother used to go skiing up Grouse and Seymour Mountains in just his bathing suit, as did many others. The danger wasn’t the cold, it was that you could easily sunburn from the reflection off the snow.
On a rugged mountain trail, I once came across a guy running down the trail wearing nothing but flip-flops, a cowboy hat, and boxer shorts. He was carrying a garbage bag full of beer cans (you could hear them clinking as he ran by.) I’m thinking there was a bachelor party in the wilderness, he got drunk and his buddies took his clothes. True story.
Here we have a problem with people from other places attempting to climb the local mountains when it is 110 degrees Fahrenheit. They wear flip flops, shorts and tank tops. And never take water! We passed a law saying they could not take their dogs when the temp was over 100. Too many dogs died of the heat on the mountain trails. As for the “hikers” we are working on a stupid hiker law.

I’m sure it has happened somewhere, in both cases.

The dog had bare feet.. don’t they always? Although.. wimpy city dogs occasionally have to wear booties.

I know tourists who are morons are called “Tourons”, but what’s the hiker equivalent?

Heck once was doing spring skiing and saw a female going down the slope topless! Now that’s enjoyable skiing with terrific scenery to booth!

I’ve seen videos of guys doing parachute jumps au natural. (Except for the parachute straps. Ouch!)
