I’m posting from a hospital bed in Columbus Ohio where I’m on bed rest for several days. This is the best level one Trauma hospital in the state. So I am in good hands. They found a mass on my liver when they checked me for broken ribs. They wanted to lifeflight me to Columbus but the flight was grounded. The mandatory Covid-19 test (my fourth) was again negative. So no picture posting.

Just got back from the vet with Moose. He still has a bit of infection and we should continue the ointment for another week. While the vet was trying to write on the chart, Moose was trying to help him. He pushed his nose into the vets’ writing hand.

I’ve found cats are quite good at telling us what they want, without words. Make that “demanding what they want.”

Heading back to the UK this evening, via Ireland this time.

I received this message from BBEAR.

" Tuesday afternoon I tripped and fell outside of my house. Two different strangers stopped their cars and helped pull me up and into my house. They then carried my groceries in for me. The side I fell on (my right) was in a lot of pain so I had my brother take me to the ER. A cat scan revealed I had a growth on my liver and it was bleeding!

So this fall turned out to be a good thing. They sent me to Grant Trauma Center in Columbus Ohio. It is the best Trauma center in the state.

The hospital wants me on bed rest and observation. Hopefully I won’t need surgery

I don’t think Chesney is very, very sad about that. Hey, this is the first time I have typed Chesney’s name without the red squiggly line underneath it. Chesney is finally recognized!!

ON my way home from Whipperflicka’s and reading this at a rest stop east of Iowa city. Will be on one more time while in state. This place has wifi at the rest areas and too much security as I cannot access a good deal of the posted links but will catch them up at home.

I’m surprised that Chesney got catnip. How did he stay off the naughty list? On another note, saw four varied thrushes while out walking today. Later, I went out and got a Christmas tree at a tree farm.

Dear bbear, Hope you are well and back home soon.Isn’t it amazing how often when they check for one thing, they find another problem. Hope whatever it turns out to be, it is benign. Thank the Lord you don’t have covid. We will miss your pictures, but will miss you more.
