When land developers need to name the streets in their new subdivision, they often use paint color names. They pop down to the nearest Sherwin-Williams store and bingo! You live on Coral Court, Pearly Queen Place, or Fluffy Bunny Street.
My father asked me to pick the new color for our 1967 Chevrolet station wagon. A few days later I realized I had picked the color of the bathroom. It always felt I was driving around in the toilet after that.
If a customer brings in a color to match, the people at the store shouldn’t have to go through sample chips. They can scan the color, and a computer will figure out what pigments need to be added to duplicate it.
My parents are trying to sell their home right now. The realtor told them that everyone is painting their homes to be “Amenable Gray.” It apparently brings in the premium prices.

I don’t get why Nancy allowed him to pick out the paint color alone. My ex would have insisted on being there.

I tend to pick paint colors by their names, so I always let my art major daughter decide.
