They have “appointed” their own electors in several states and will propose them as the real electors on January 6, 2021 when Congress meets to certify the count of the Electoral College. This attempt will go down in flames.

Bah. If I’m annoyed at rightwhingers pillorying Biden for nothing, then I’m allowed to be annoyed at this stupidity.

That’s Trump and his hard core base for you. They always have to put their two cents in, even when no one else is listening! Now that the Electoral College has declared Joe Biden the winner, Trump and his base will try to send their own electors to Congress, but that will go nowhere! Trump will move back to Mar a Lago on 01/20, and will (hopefully) be indicted in NY or elsewhere. But would likely concede the top bunk to his cellmate before he concedes to Biden. I heard that after the Electoral College’s announcement Sen. McConnell (R-KY) called Biden to congratulate him. Even a broken clock is right twice a day, I guess.

Eventually, the GOP have to stop beating this dead horse and focus on the 2022 midterms (where the GOP will be defending twice as many Senate seats as the Democrats). If we get Covid under control by then (which I firmly believe we will), I think the Dems have a really good shot at winning a clear majority in the Senate.
