@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny , the road to hell is paved with good intentions Chalkie meant well when he used a sled to get our HERO Mr Andrew Capp home , but the drunken little sot was too soused to hold on :o) my avatar is a picture showing the longevity of a rabbit , a dog and a tortoise , I would chose something between the dog’s 12 years and the tortoise’s 100+years , say 93 ? :o), how was your day? ours should be slightly busy but calm I hope , we’re both in a good mood , but Arthur has not come over yet to help me post a photo of Zeus the friendly Husky dog , keep safe and thanks for caring pal
SO many questions… Did he bring the sled with him, knowing the probable outcome? Since when do they walk home up hill? And Most important: Is the canal frozen over?
Chalkie showed a lot of foresight bringing a sled to the pub for Andy, but he fell a little short on execution. So prior planning doesn’t always prevent p#ss poor performance

Talk about getting drunk and losing it.

Nothing like being in the hands of a buddy who’s just not quite drunk as you. It always makes for great stories.

This isn’t about getting safe and sound again, this is about Andy slithering off the sled back into the Pub for another pint!

Is this what is meant by having a cold one?

That’s quite a hill for a coastal town with a canal running through it. It’s odd that we’ve never seen it before in the summer.

Andy hasn’t gotten a grip in all the years I’ve known him.

Do you think flo really wants him home???? Hahahahaha!!!!!!

We’re blanketed in snow where I live, and it’ll stay this way until late February or early March. Does it really snow much where Andy and Chalky live?
Linguist about 4 years ago
Andy Capp’s been going downhill for years!
JonladY2K about 4 years ago
Disappointed there’s not a joke about Chalkie with his nose so bright, guiding his sleigh that night
awcoffman about 4 years ago
I now picture him rolled up in a huge snowball at the bottom of the hill. Or maybe a huge snowball floating in the canal (unless it’s frozen over)
dv1093 about 4 years ago
These two crack me up.

He is a friend, but Andy is his own worst enemy!

Oops-he’s gone down hill-literally.

Grandma told me that a “bar” was something to keep someone in or someone out. Choose wisely. (Jail/prison bars or window bars etc…)

Andy’s tight, all right!

Is Chalkie drunk or Schizophrenic?
Don’t worry, I get the punchline. Andy obviously fell out. Saw this on Facebook first but didn’t know it would be posted today.

Dogs don’t live long enough. In fact they deserve to live a heck of a lot longer than some humans!
The turtle is now my spirit animal.
Stay safe, stay well and stay happy, pal. Love to Bella.

Luckily the massive alcohol intake will lower his blood’s freezing point! Until a policeman can get him in the drunk tank!
tad1 about 4 years ago
So much for safe and sound. I bet Andy slid right into the canal.

Someone posted a link yesterday and it was to this strip, even though it was today’s strip. How did that happen?
Orcatime about 4 years ago
There’s a giant snowball defrosting at the pub!
