The key to resolutions is for them to be something you want to do and not something you feel like you have to do. I resolved to finish 24 books and visit 12 new restaurants (or ones I haven’t visited in a year). I also plan for there to be less stuff in my home by the end of the year. This is the only tough one because it involves going through things I kept “just in case” and putting things in either trash, recycling, or to a used stuff store.
This worked slightly faster than Captain Kirk’s short-circuit of Norman (which shouldn’t have worked at all; a sophisticated machine like Norman should have been able to recognize an unresolvable conundrum when he saw one).
