We’ve been watching the bald eagles at Berry College (in North Georgia) for years now. At the moment they’re sitting on 2 eggs: https://www.berry.edu/eaglecam/
Hear we have red tailed hawks that live in the city. Our sub species of bald eagles prefer their protected area on a river a few miles north. No competition between the birds!
Many years ago now I visited Alaska. One of the things I heard over and over are the Eagles there are considered the Pigeons of the state. So many everywhere. Did visit a Preserve which helps heal are re-rehabilitate injured Eagles into the wild. If they can’t be let go, they’re kept there for viewing and education. After seeing one up close and personal I was very impressed with it’s size and abilities. A 6 to 8 foot wing span is hard to forget.
